Brendan Winter
Brendan began offering teaching in 2025 following an invitation to do so from his own teacher, Peter Fenner. Brendan has trained with Peter in retreat and 1:1 sessions.
He has spent over 30 years practicing across different traditions. His primary formal practice has been Zen, including with the Sydney Zen Centre and Melbourne Zen Group. He has also studied Vipassana and Mindfulness of Breathing techniques, particularly as taught by Bhikkhu Analayo. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in English.
Brendan lives in Sydney with his wife, two children, and a cat, not too far from the beach.
Carl Kay
Carl has been a facilitator in nondual and mindfulness meditation groups for over 10 years, including numerous events within the Radiant Mind community.
He has had a personal practice for 25 years that has included nondual contemplation, mindfulness meditation, yoga, somatic breathing (Buteyko) and ACT therapies. He has formally trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Transpersonal Counselling, and Buteyko.
Carl is constantly inspired by the felt sense of being in nature and the nondual way of life. He lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
Our root teacher
Peter Fenner
Dr. Peter Fenner is a writer, educator and guide to both Brendan and Carl.
His work is based on the nondual Perfection of Wisdom tradition. Peter's primary teacher was the celebrated Lama Thubten Yeshe and he was an ordained Tibetan monk for 9 years.
Peter's books include Radiant Mind, Natural Awakening, and The Edge of Certainty.
